California's Giant Sequoias Get a Fighting Chance as Massive Restoration Begins
California authorities have launched an ambitious restoration programme to protect ancient giant sequoia forests decimated by 2020-2021 wildfires. A partnership has treated nearly 10,000 hectares and planted over 682,000 seedlings.
