Laos charges distillery owner and hostel staff over Vangvieng tourist deaths
Lao authorities have indicted the owner of Tiger Vodka distillery and staff at Nana Backpackers Hostel following six tourist deaths in Vangvieng in late 2024. Police found toxic methanol levels in vodka samples and detected the substance in victims' blood.
