Foreign Divorces Have No Legal Standing in Philippines, Says Justice Official
A Philippine Justice Department official has reiterated that Filipinos who obtain divorces abroad remain legally married under Philippine law, which does not recognise foreign divorces regardless of their validity elsewhere.
