The Royal Brunei Police Force's Gambling Suppression and Vice Prevention Unit conducted two separate raids on Sunday, June 14, in the Brunei-Muara District, resulting in the detention of two local women suspected of involvement in immoral activities. The operations targeted residences in Kampong Salambigar and Kampong Lumapas.

During the initial operation in Kampong Salambigar, officers apprehended a 39-year-old woman at a rented room on suspicion of engaging in immoral activities. The second raid in Kampong Lumapas led to the arrest of a 29-year-old woman, who is suspected of participating in and facilitating similar offences.

Both individuals are now in police custody and have been transferred to the Gambling Suppression and Vice Prevention Unit office for further questioning and investigation. Evidence gathered during the raids has also been brought in as part of the inquiry.

The Royal Brunei Police Force emphasized its ongoing resolve to tackle vice-related offences and maintain public morality standards throughout the nation. The force stressed that such enforcement actions are essential for upholding community standards and public safety.
